What Surprises Can Be Found at a Mini Storage Auction

plenty of people who have been using auctions in order to make a profit by reselling the items they won at an auction. Many storage auctions are a great way to make a little cash and have a lot of surprises, and fun. You're going to be surprised, it's a bit like Christmas opening up the contents of a mini storage auctioned unit and you never really know what you might find.

Of course, there are those mini storage auctions where you actually get to peruse the contents. That's a bit different, but can still be a lot of fun. You'll take your inventory of what is in the mini storage unit, decide what its resale value is, at in your transportation and resale costs, and come up with the bid price. Then you go ahead and sell your mini storage contents, hoping to make a profit you planned.

When it comes to those mini storage auctions where you don't get to peruse the contents, it may be the type where they open the door, you get a quick look, and then the bidding starts. This is where your pencil and paper come in, you'll need to get a quick inventory of what you've seen. Look for those large appliance items, boxes that are clearly labeled, or even antiques and heirlooms. Again, this is where it gets fun, once you've won your mini storage auction, you get to dive in and see exactly what's in that space.

Storage units, mini storage units, and off-site storage units can also offer a variety of different personal items. People need storage space, especially with those people who are living in apartments or small condominiums. Therefore, you may find a wide range of items in the mini storage area. You'll often see large appliances, small kitchen appliances, and you also may find family heirlooms, photographs, financial documents, as well as antiques, children's toys, and other pieces of household furniture. The whole idea is to bid lower than what you think you can resell all of the contents of the mini storage.

Basically, opening up a storage unit where you have won the contents of an auction can give you a lot of surprises. Some of the surprises aren't going to be worth very much, and others are going to be items such as jewelry or antiques that can be worth quite a lot.

A mini storage auction is held when the owner of the belongings hasn't paid their rent. This means the management just wants to recoup their lost rent and you can get the whole contents for a very low price. It's important before bidding that you set your highest price so you don't get caught up in a bidding war, and then, once you've won, enjoy having Christmas morning when you open up your mini storage auctions contents.
